Remove Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications – Installation Wizard
Every time I log in to my PC, the Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications - Installation Wizard was annoying me. Expecting that it would be on the Start up, I opened msconfig but I found nothing relevant to Windows Genuine advantage.I googled a lot but all I found was the answer for how to remove Windows Genuine Advantage after it gets installed. So I had to spend time on this little thing and atlast found how it works.
Windows Genuine Advantage is one of the Microsoft Updates – KB905474. So all you need to do is delete the folder C:\Windows\system32\KB905474. That is all you need to get rid of this pop up that appears every time you log in.
But how does it come up every time when you login if it is not in the startup. Take a look at the screenshot below. Yes, it was in the schduled tasks .
