Group policy editor is a very important tool when it comes to windows administration. Many policies and restrictions can be set using the group policy editor. Policies can be configured specific to the user or specific to the computer. But there may be situation when you will not be able to open the group policy editor.

You can check the disk properties of mulitple disk drives in a tabbed fashion as show below by a simple method. Hold down the control key and select all the drives for which you need to check the disk properties and then right click and select properties.

Every time I log in to my PC, the Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications - Installation Wizard was annoying me. The net logon service is one of the most important services especially when your comptuer is part of a domain. It verifies the NT LAN manager (a Microsoft authentication protocol) and identifies the domain controller. If you check the description of the service in services console in Windows, it is described "Supports pass-through authentication of account logon events for computers in a domain."
