Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware is a free software to remove viruses, worms, spywares, rootkits, dialers and trojans that are considered to be the most dangerous malwares. It works faster when compared to many other malware removal tools and does not consume much of the system resources.
The virus definitions database is updated on a daily basis. I personally used this to remove Windows Police Pro and Anti Virus 2009 which are very common malwares. It can detect almost any malware and remove it.
The free version does not include features like realtime protection, scheduled scanning and scheduled updating. But the license cost for personal use is very cheap when compared to all other products of the same category. It is only a one time charge of $24.95. There is no monthly or yearly subscription.
